“DocMiner can build a document classifier based on a particular schema”

  • What is the USP of DocMiner?

DocMiner is basically classified documents based on a schematic plan. Typically, in natural language processing, documents are classified using simplistic techniques. It is harder to classify a document based on the meaning, like if someone read it and understood it, they would probably give it a much more sophisticated classification. And that’s exactly what we have built. You build a kind of classifier which can sustain meaning of a document over 200- 250 words. You can basically then extract meaning from it and classify relevant/irrelevant. It can do classification based on tone and tenor. It can also classify legal documents.

  • What is your customer base? What do you think about the Indian market?

Most of our clients are based out of the US. I find the Indian market quite mature when it comes to data science. Bangalore, especially in India in general has very good position.

  • What is your go – to- market strategy?

We have had certain standard strategies. Our primary platinum partner is basically Analytic Services for whom we have the standard delivery models. We are also stepping it up in terms of the product game. Though we are not entirely convinced on building customer products.,we are seeing a lot of traction in this area. So, we have to change our sales cycles to serve this new demand that we have encountered.
