Over 1000 IT channel partners and senior IT executives will turn their vision into action at Canalys Channels Forum APAC 2017 at Crown Perth in Perth, Australia, while gaining a strategic view of the emerging trends shaping IT and businesses.
The 3-day event, starting December 5, 2017, will offer an excellent platform to discuss industry trends, forge new business relationships and create sales opportunities through an unparalleled intersection of Canalys analysts, industry experts, solution providers, distributors and resellers. Additionally, it will provide an opportunity to develop business through a combination of presentations, 1:1 meetings and networking with delegates.
Arguably the world’s largest independent IT channel event is themed as “Limitless Landscape” this year. It will consider how today’s digital landscape is being changed and shaped by major technology and business trends. “The forum will reflect on how the landscape has changed regarding customer needs, consumption and business models to help give partners a clearer view. By addressing today’s market trends, vendors will show the direction partners can take with them right now to journey through the Limitless Landscape,” elaborated Rita Chaher, Executive Vice President, Canalys.
While the first day is reserved for delegate registrations, the second day will witness keynote addresses from Steve Brazier, President and CEO, Canalys; Richard Bailey, President, APJ, HP Inc; and John Byrne, President, Global Channels, Dell EMC.
In addition, the forum will be power-packed with addresses from few of the renowned speakers including Rajiv Srivastava, COO and Head, Sales Strategy and Operations, HP; Jacob Pereira, Senior Director, Channels, APJ, Nutanix; Randy Huey, SVP, Global Channel Strategy, Dell EMC; Tian Beng Ng, SVP, APJ Channels, Dell EMC; Alan Atkinson, SVP, Technology and Strategy, Global Commercial Sales, Dell EMC; Therese Cooney, SVP, Client Solutions Group, APJ, Dell EMC; and Nick Reynolds, Chief Marketing Officer, Asia Pacific, Lenovo.
Moreover, this year theatre sessions will have two different formats: panel sessions and dedicated vendor sessions. The vendor sessions will give more vision and strategy detail, following on from the scene set by leaders in the keynote sessions. On the other hand, panel sessions will have multiple vendors answering your specific questions on the topics like skills gap, edge computing, managed security, customer consumption models and how to become a successful channel partner.
Further, roundtables, exclusively for channel partners and distributors, will probe partner interest on topics around market segment opportunities, partner programs, technical resource development, and building best practices around planning, hiring and employee development.
However, the main attraction of the event will be Candefero Channel Partner of the Year awards. The awards recognize channel partners for their superior performance under categories including revenue growth, cloud: software, innovation and transformation, cloud: managed services, and infrastructure growth in the APAC region.
Further, to enable a seamless delegate experience during the event, Canalys has introduced its refined Canalys Event App with features including one-to-one meeting system, personal agenda, instant messaging chat, full attendee profiles, single sign-on and social media integration. The company is also offering the app as a white-label solution, specifically developed for tech vendors and their channel partners to use at their own partner events.
The event is supported by vendors like Dell EMC, HPE, HP Inc, Lenovo, AMD, APC by Schneider Electric, Eaton, Nutanix, Citrix, Datto, Dropbox Business, Extreme Networks, Fujitsu, Huawei, NetApp, Nokia, Sophos, Splunk, Vertiv, VMware, Acronis, Autotask, ConnectWise, Ergotron, Kaminario, Mitel, Veeam, and Zebra.
